About me

Lisa Ferguson, MA, LCAC, CSAT, CADACII, CCPS, and CPTT, is a Licensed Clinical Addictions Counselor and an EMDR (EMDRIA) certified therapist who specializes in helping individuals couples, and families recover from the devastation of substance or alcohol abuse/addictions, pornography/sexual addictions, trauma, and PTSD. With over 20 years of counseling experience, she has focused on the areas of trauma and addictions since 2009.

Lisa is internationally certified in Sexual Addictions Therapy (CSAT) with Patrick Carnes' Gentle Path Program through the International Institute for Trauma and Addictions Professionals (IITAP). She is also Indiana's first Certified Clinical Partner Specialist (CCPS) through the Association of Partners of Sex Addicts Trauma Specialists (APSATS). Additionally, she is a FLASH trained EMDR Certified Therapist who works with individuals suffering the effects of trauma and PTSD. This combination of training positions her uniquely to understand and address the challenges of a wide variety of people who need impactful therapy and assistance in resetting their lives.

In addition to her expertise as a therapist, she has over a decade of experience teaching at university, and gives educational lectures nationally and internationally. She is a member of NAADAC (the national organization for addictions professionals), ICAADA (Indiana Counselors Association on Alcohol and Drug Abuse), EMDRIA (the international association for EMDR trained professionals), and the American Association of Christian Counselors. She holds an MA from Purdue University, and lives in the Muncie area with her husband of thirty-seven years.

The Association of Partners of Sex Addicts Trauma Specialists (APSATS) has been approved by NBCC as an Approved Continuing Education Provider, ACEP No.7435. Programs that do not qualify for NBCC credit are clearly identified. The Association of Partners of Sex Addicts Trauma Specialists (APSATS) is solely responsible for all aspects of the programs.
