APSATS maintains a database of clinicians, coaches, training participants, donors, and supporters in order to stay in touch with our community and keep you updated about news, certification programs, training events, continuing education, and fundraising activities.

Some of our database (but not all) choose to join our online community by registering on this website and creating an online profile. In both instances—individuals with offline database records and individuals with online profiles—we collect and store personal information (“data”) about you. We are committed to protecting and respecting your privacy, and this Policy sets out what information we collect about you, and how we use (“process”) it.

We may change this Policy from time to time. If we make any significant changes, we will advertise this on the website or contact you directly. Please check this page occasionally to ensure you are comfortable with any changes.

Your data is securely stored on a cloud server hosted by Amazon Web Services (AWS) in the EU and managed by our platform provider, ToucanTech.

We use encryption, antivirus, firewall protections, and access controls to protect your data. Only trained APSATS staff and contractors have access to your data, and only for authorized purposes.

Please keep your login credentials secure and do not share your password with others.

While we strive to protect your data, no internet transmission is fully secure. You submit data at your own risk.

We may share your information with:
   •   Third-party service providers (e.g. email and donation platforms) under strict agreements
   •   Co-hosts or speakers for events you register to attend
   •   Web and analytics providers helping us improve our website
   •   Successor organizations if APSATS merges or reorganizes (with protections in place)

We do not share your data with unrelated organizations for marketing or other purposes without your explicit consent.

   •   Certification and training data is stored for as long as you are active, and up to 7 years after

We may ask you to renew your consent periodically.
