About me

Laurie Hall, MA, CPC, PSAP, RLBT, DSTP, BSP, I work with betrayed partners, with men who are recovering from problematic sexual behavior who want to become better men, and with couples who are working to find their way back to each other after trust has been broken. I walk alongside my clients, supporting them as they find their courage, hope, and strength that life can be better. I LOVE what I get to do.

Past President of APSATS, I am the author of An Affair of the Mind. Published in 1996, AAOTM was the very first book on partner betrayal. I am currently working on my PhD in Trauma and Crisis Counseling. Past President of the Association of Partners of Sex Addicts Trauma Specialists (APSATS), I am an APSATS Certified Partner Coach and an APSATS-trained Betrayal Trauma Religious Leader. I was honored to be certified by Dr. Omar Minwalla in Levels 1-4 as a Deceptive Sexuality Trauma Professional. Creator of Begin Again Institute's (BAI) Partner Support Program, a first-in-the-nation program that provided daily support for partners while their loved ones were in a BAI intensive, I facilitated this program for five years. I am an International Institute of Trauma and Addiction Professionals certified Pastoral Sex Addiction Professional. In addition, I am a Brainspotting Professional and I'm trained in Carol Juergensen Sheet's Early Couples Repair Empathy Model as well as Help. Her. Heal. and Dr. Jake Porter's Couple-Centered Recovery, Level 2. Dan Drake and Dr. Janice Caudill, leaders in the field of therapeutic disclosure, trained me to be a Disclosure Guide.

Having experienced betrayal myself, my heart is for those who have experienced betrayal. Helping them heal, reconnect with life and SELF (which often gets lost in the trauma of betrayal), and then go on to create a life they really, Really, REALLY love. I see clients all over the world via Zoom.

I live in Indianapolis with my dog Barnabas. I enjoy kayaking, going for long walks, cooking, reading good books, and having fun with friends.

The Association of Partners of Sex Addicts Trauma Specialists (APSATS) has been approved by NBCC as an Approved Continuing Education Provider, ACEP No.7435. Programs that do not qualify for NBCC credit are clearly identified. The Association of Partners of Sex Addicts Trauma Specialists (APSATS) is solely responsible for all aspects of the programs.
