Karen is passionate about helping individuals and couples find hope and healing in the midst of painful circumstances. She is a provisionally licensed professional counselor in the state of Missouri with a Master's degree in counseling from Covenant Theological Seminary. She began serving in the FirstLight spouse care ministry first as a volunteer facilitator in 2021 before coming on staff in 2022. She now serves on the FirstLight clinical team. Prior to this season in counseling, she spent 13 years doing full-time ministry in Taiwan and Hong Kong. When not preoccupied by work, Karen enjoys bubble tea, a good novel, and cheering for her children at games.
