About me

Have you discovered that your partner has a secret sexual orientation or gender identity, with or without acting-out behaviours? The fallout of discovering you're unknowingly in a closeted mixed-orientation marriage changes everything you thought you knew about your relationship. My role is to help you make sense of what's happened over time, find safety and stabilisation here and now, mourn what never was, and create a life of meaning you can love.

As a lived-experience therapist, I understand something of what you're going through, having discovered that my husband was gay after 24 years of marriage. Helping others going through this is my life's work and it would be a pleasure to help you.

While I hold a position of empathy for the closeted or coming-out partner's shame, my primary focus is working with you - the straight, cisgender spouse who's discovered that your partner is either same-sex attracted, gender questioning, or identifies secretly as lesbian, gay, bisexual, or transgender.

The formal bits:
* PACFA Registered Clinical Counsellor
* APSATS Certified Clinical Partner Specialist
* Certified Deceptive Sexuality and Trauma Therapist

If you're experiencing betrayal trauma as a result of discovering your partner's secret sexual orientation or gender identity, please reach out for help and support. I will have your back while you find your feet again. Located in Melbourne, Australia.
