About me

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist based in Utah with more than 25 years of experience helping individuals and couples heal from the impact of sexual betrayal and compulsive sexual behavior. I am certified through APSATS as a Clinical Partner Specialist and work from a trauma informed, attachment based lens to support betrayed partners in rebuilding safety, clarity, and connection.

While I offer individual therapy to clients in Utah, I also support couples around the world through my online betrayal recovery program, Courageous Together. I have developed a comprehensive map that both betrayed and unfaithful partners can follow to move safely through the recovery process, first individually and then together as a couple. The program includes weekly coaching calls, guided exercises, and ongoing community support to help couples do the deep work of healing in a structured, supportive environment.

I am a Master Certified clinician in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) and have advanced training in Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFT). Whether you are trying to make sense of what happened, determine what is next, or work toward relational repair, I provide practical tools and trauma sensitive guidance to help you move forward at your own pace.

In addition to my clinical and coaching work, I co-host the From Crisis to Connection podcast with my wife, Jody, and am the co-author of Love You, Hate the Porn. I am committed to helping betrayed partners reclaim their voice, restore their dignity, and navigate the healing process with support and direction.

The Association of Partners of Sex Addicts Trauma Specialists (APSATS) has been approved by NBCC as an Approved Continuing Education Provider, ACEP No.7435. Programs that do not qualify for NBCC credit are clearly identified. The Association of Partners of Sex Addicts Trauma Specialists (APSATS) is solely responsible for all aspects of the programs.
