About me

I am a licensed clinical psychologist and research scientist providing telehealth therapy to adults in Hawaiʻi and Washington. I received my doctorate in clinical psychology from the University of Washington (UW), which is consistently ranked among the top programs nationally for its scientist-practitioner model. At UW I trained with some of the leading researchers in evidence-based addictive behaviors and trauma treatment. I completed my clinical fellowship at the Veterans Affairs Pacific Islands Health Care System in trauma and PTSD-focused tracks.

I specialize in supporting partners of individuals with sexual compulsivity, problematic pornography use, and infidelity using the APSATS Multi-Dimensional Partner Trauma Model (M-PTM). I understand that betrayal trauma is not simply a painful life event, it is a genuine, layered trauma that can include the shock of discovery, the ongoing injury of staggered disclosure, and in some cases harm caused by prior therapeutic encounters that minimized your experience.

My clinical work with betrayed partners is grounded in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) skills for stabilization and emotion regulation, Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) for trauma processing, and a deep respect for the M-PTM phases of treatment. I will not tell you what to do about your relationship. My role is to help you establish safety, make sense of what happened, and develop the clarity and skills to make decisions that are right for you. You didn't cause this. And you deserve support that is genuinely about you.

The Association of Partners of Sex Addicts Trauma Specialists (APSATS) has been approved by NBCC as an Approved Continuing Education Provider, ACEP No.7435. Programs that do not qualify for NBCC credit are clearly identified. The Association of Partners of Sex Addicts Trauma Specialists (APSATS) is solely responsible for all aspects of the programs.
