Emotional betrayal—often minimized, misunderstood, and overlooked—is a deeply traumatic rupture of the most intimate relationship bonds. This professional development workshop challenges the common misconception that non-sexual affairs are "less significant" than physical ones. Participants will gain a comprehensive understanding of emotional betrayal trauma, clear definitions, and a structured, trauma-informed path to healing for the betrayed partner.
This session will introduce a proprietary framework, Emotional Betrayal DNA, which breaks down this specific betrayal into three core, defining layers: Emotional Displacement, Emotional Neglect, and Emotional Affairs. By shifting the paradigm, this session equips professionals to recognize emotional betrayal not as a secondary issue, but as a legitimate form of relational trauma and compulsive acting-out behavior.

Jill Pool is dedicated to empowering women who are navigating the complex trauma of betrayal, abuse, and neglect while remaining true to their faith and values. Her deeply personal experiences—including homeschooling 12 children, parenting a child with special needs, and coping with the loss of a child—make her an invaluable and empathetic resource for partners on their recovery journey. Jill creates resources that utilize clear language and definitions, enabling partners to express their needs and experiences more effectively.
As a Christian, she provides clients the option to incorporate faith into their healing process. Jill and her husband, Alonso, have been married for 29 years and co-own Hope in the Havoc, where they coach both men and women in their own recovery journeys. She also serves as a contracted coach with Hope Redefined. In her spare time, Jill enjoys hiking and taking sunset walks along the Tennessee River.
