Consultation supervision is a passion of mine. I understand just how important these hours are as a part of preparing you to be a CCPS or CPC, so I really work hard to create a safe space in my groups, dyads, and individual consultations where candidates can learn and grow together. We all bring unique strengths to this work, so I always invite candidates to share their wisdom and experience. And I also want to make these consultation hours helpful learning opportunities each and every time, helping you learn to integrate the MTPM into your coaching or clinical practice.
I am pretty flexible in my consultation style, and one unique area of focus for me is integration. I’ve seen so much value in integrating diversity in my consultations: blending clinicians and coaches, blending those that specialize in working with partners with those that specialize in working with addicts or couples, as well as bringing cultural, religious, or other areas of diversity into our consultations. I’ve found that this leads to rich discussion and mutual growth.
A little bit about me: I’m a licensed clinician and both a CSAT consultation supervisor and an APSATS consultation supervisor. I’ve co-authored several books, including Full Disclosure: How to Share the Truth after Sexual Betrayal and Letters from a Sex Addict: My Life Exposed. I’m also EMDR trained, and I am the Founder and Clinical Director of Banyan Therapy Group in Los Angeles, California. www.banyantherapy.com.
Let me know if you have any questions. I look forward to our work together.
I offer INDIVIDUAL consultation supervision (primary supervisor), DYAD consultation supervision, SMALL GROUP consultation supervision, consultation supervision during EVENINGS (upon request/by arrangement), and SPECIALTY THEMED consultation supervision (upon request/by arrangement).
Topics of focus:
Disclosure, integration of MPTM with the addict

I was first drawn to APSATS after reading "Your Sexually Addicted Spouse". Until reading that seminal book, there was very little, if any theory based research in our field that specifically addressed betrayal trauma. I remember those early days well, and to be honest, I believe most of us involved at the beginning were pioneers in some pretty hostile territory.
I was a founding board member of APSATS and assisted with bringing the first APSATS training to Dallas, TX, and helped with getting some organizational structure around APSATS. It has been an honor to see APSATS grow and evolve as an internationally recognized training organization for treating betrayal trauma using MPTM. As a consultant supervisor, it inspires me to work with folks coming into our field, whether they are brand new counselors or coaches, or seasoned professionals.
In addition to being an LPC-Supervisor, LCDC, PACT I, BSP II, I am also trained as a Certified Spiritual Director. I'm also an Interventionist for behavioral & psychiatric & have conducted SA interventions as well. I provide treatment consulting, and I'm a clinical educator and trainer as well.
I have extensive experience in working with others in our field, locally, nationally and internationally and know just how tricky it can be to provide a high quality care for our clients. This is challenging work, as anyone whose been in this field for a while can attest, and yet, it is some of the most rewarding and meaningful work you can do as well. I look forward to meeting you and working with you.
I offer INDIVIDUAL consultation supervision (primary supervisor) and SPECIALTY THEMED consultation supervision (upon request/by arrangement).

Rae Gaelyn Emerson is master certified life, relationship and divorce coach, with ten years of involvement and activism with all things APSATS.
Over the past decade, Rae has worked extensively with men, women and couples healing from the impact of relational trauma—issues like abandonment, abuse, addiction, betrayal, deception, divorce, infidelity and more.
Within the world of sex addiction and partner betrayal trauma, Rae has eagerly engaged a variety of specializations and arising “roadmap gaps.” Most proudly, since 2014, Rae has worked with hundreds of survivors facing a betrayal-related divorce, pioneering support resources that address the often marginalized experience of those healing “alone in the aftermath” of relationships that don’t survive betrayal.
These days, Rae invests most of her working hours into mentoring, consultation and supervision for a growing community of “trauma-savvy coaches,” both within and beyond APSATS. As a Master Certified Coach (MCC), Rae holds the highest credential awarded by the International Coach Federation (ICF). Additionally, Rae is fully trained, certified and registered as an ICF mentor coach, with intensive formal training as a qualified coaching supervisor. For more about Rae’s mentoring mission and supervisory vision, visit
www.healingtalksback.com/professionals.
When it comes to APSATS Consultation Supervision, Rae’s style is warmly inclusive, empowering and affirming. While exploring client cases and challenges in relation to APSATS’ partner trauma model, Rae begins with her conviction that “there are no dumb questions,” and ends each supervision session by asking some version of the question, “Inspired by today’s conversation, what is something for which you are proud of yourself?”
Rae offers individual, dyad and group consultation supervision—including evening, weekend and specialty-themed sessions upon request. If you have a particular and practical need, PLEASE ASK! If I can help you meet it, I’m very eager and willing to do so.

I am passionate about working with, educating and advocating for betrayed partners, and understand how important it is to be able to provide safety for those living in a world which has been turned upside down.
Having spent many years working in the field of addiction, I trained in Cincinnati with Dr Steffans in 2016 to support the work I was doing with partners. I am Australia's first CCPS and CCPS-S.
I am also a CSAT, but specialise in working with betrayed partners. I run support groups for partners, train and supervise clinicians, and I am a founding board member of Sex Addiction Specialists Aotearoa (SASA NZ) and the founder of a NFP, Women's Healing Sanctuary in Sydney Australia.
I love the diversity of experience we all bring to our work and using that as an opportunity for learning which benefits all.
I offer INDIVIDUAL consultation supervision (primary supervisor), SMALL GROUP consultation supervision and SPECIALTY THEMED consultation supervision upon request.
Topics include the MPTM model and how we work with and integrate the 3 phases, preparing and facilitating full therapeutic disclosure, and family of origin trauma and inner child work.
