Consultation supervision is a passion of mine. I understand just how important these hours are as a part of preparing you to be a CCPS or CPC, so I really work hard to create a safe space in my groups, dyads, and individual consultations where candidates can learn and grow together. We all bring unique strengths to this work, so I always invite candidates to share their wisdom and experience. And I also want to make these consultation hours helpful learning opportunities each and every time, helping you learn to integrate the MTPM into your coaching or clinical practice.

I am pretty flexible in my consultation style, and one unique area of focus for me is integration. I’ve seen so much value in integrating diversity in my consultations: blending clinicians and coaches, blending those that specialize in working with partners with those that specialize in working with addicts or couples, as well as bringing cultural, religious, or other areas of diversity into our consultations. I’ve found that this leads to rich discussion and mutual growth.

A little bit about me: I’m a licensed clinician and both a CSAT consultation supervisor and an APSATS consultation supervisor. I’ve co-authored several books, including Full Disclosure: How to Share the Truth after Sexual Betrayal and Letters from a Sex Addict: My Life Exposed. I’m also EMDR trained, and I am the Founder and Clinical Director of Banyan Therapy Group in Los Angeles, California. www.banyantherapy.com.

Let me know if you have any questions. I look forward to our work together.

I offer INDIVIDUAL consultation supervision (primary supervisor), DYAD consultation supervision, SMALL GROUP consultation supervision, consultation supervision during EVENINGS (upon request/by arrangement), and SPECIALTY THEMED consultation supervision (upon request/by arrangement).

Disclosure, integration of MPTM with the addict

Marie Krebs, LPC-S, LCDC, SRT, CCPS-Supervisor, PACT I, BSP II

United States

I was first drawn to APSATS after reading "Your Sexually Addicted Spouse". Until reading that seminal book, there was very little, if any theory based research in our field that specifically addressed betrayal trauma. I remember those early days well, and to be honest, I believe most of us involved at the beginning were pioneers in some pretty hostile territory.

I was a founding board member of APSATS and assisted with bringing the first APSATS training to Dallas, TX, and helped with getting some organizational structure around APSATS. It has been an honor to see APSATS grow and evolve as an internationally recognized training organization for treating betrayal trauma using MPTM. As a consultant supervisor, it inspires me to work with folks coming into our field, whether they are brand new counselors or coaches, or seasoned professionals.

In addition to being an LPC-Supervisor, LCDC, PACT I, BSP II, I am also trained as a Certified Spiritual Director. I'm also an Interventionist for behavioral & psychiatric & have conducted SA interventions as well. I provide treatment consulting, and I'm a clinical educator and trainer as well.

I have extensive experience in working with others in our field, locally, nationally and internationally and know just how tricky it can be to provide a high quality care for our clients. This is challenging work, as anyone whose been in this field for a while can attest, and yet, it is some of the most rewarding and meaningful work you can do as well. I look forward to meeting you and working with you.

I offer INDIVIDUAL consultation supervision (primary supervisor) and SPECIALTY THEMED consultation supervision (upon request/by arrangement).

Rae Gaelyn Emerson is a certified life, relationship and divorce recovery coach, working with men, women and couples healing from relational trauma—abandonment, abuse, addiction, betrayal, deception, divorce, infidelity and more. Working in this field since 2014, Rae has eagerly engaged a variety of “roadmap gaps” within this world of partner trauma; most proudly, she has undertaken work with hundreds of divorced, divorcing and separated partners, pioneering the development of support resources for those whose relationships do not survive.

Rae now devotes most of her time to coaching, consultation and supervision for fellow practitioners within the fields of human sexuality and trauma. In addition to APSATS Multidimensional Partner Trauma Model (MPTM), Rae often integrates training from entities like The Gottman Institute, The Center for Loss and Life Transition, The Institute for Sexual Health, The Society for the Advancement of Sexual Health, The Mindfulness Academy for Addiction and Trauma Training and more. Rae is a registered mentor coach through the International Coaching Federation (ICF); within this capacity, she provides skills-based mentoring for coaches seeking to secure or advance an ICF credential.

When it comes to consultation, Rae’s clients describe her style as warmly inclusive, personally empowering and confidence-inspiring. She approaches client cases and specialty topics with intention, intuition and nuance, operating from the conviction that “there are NO dumb questions.” Rae is known for cultivating environments of awareness, affirmation and growth, ending every session by asking, “Inspired by today’s conversation, what is something for which you are proud of yourself?”
