Testimonials of those trained by the APSATS Multidimensional Partner Trauma Model:
“The APSATS training and community- focused on trauma resolution- solidified and transformed the orientation through which I work with partners (of sex addicts) as well as, addicts. I am confident that the care I provide is effective, respectful and ethical as a result.”
Kate Parkinson, MFT, CSAT, CHFP
“The in-depth conceptualization of the Multidimensial Partner Trauma Model (MPTM) presented during the APSATS training gave me a much better understanding of how partners of sex addicts experience betrayal. This approach, as espoused by APSATS, also addresses the partner’s emotional, mental, physical, social and spiritual life. This way of looking at sexual betrayal trauma and the treatment methods taught by APSATS significantly increased my ability to work with my clients from a holistic perspective which I find invaluable in my practice.”
Brenda J Smith, LPC, CCPS
“The APSATS training (Multidimensional Partner Trauma Model) allowed me to add to my counseling profession and to the group sessions new assessment tools, resource guidance and insightful information. This has enhanced my knowledge and the lives of the women/couples I serve.”
Rebecca Phipps, MA, LPC
“The APSATS training opened my eyes to the devastating effects on many levels of Sex Addiction; it has also given me the knowledge and tools to support partners in their struggle to heal. It has been excited to me to have a part in the leading edge of SA treatment.”
Gudrun Zomerland, MFT
“As an APSATS’ Certified Partners Coach (Candidate), I recently received my first client referral from another APSATS colleague (CPS-C, LMFT, CSAT). Knowing that APSATS trains and certifies BOTH clinicians and coaches, my clients have grown to TRUST referrals between our practitioners of various modalities—all within the “treatment mosaic” of APSATS’ signature Multidimensional Partners Trauma Model.”
Crystal Morrissey, CPLC, CDRC
“The APSATS training has helped me truly understand how much partners of sex addicts need safety first and foremost and for a long while. My client’s say they hear my voice in their heads asking them “what do you need to feel safe?”
Stacey Sadler MA, LPC
